PIRINGA HAPŪ! HUIA TANGATA! KIA HIWA RA!
Our Story
The Ngai Te Upokoiri, Ngati Hinemanu me ona Piringa Hapu Authority Trust was established in 2019 to serve, advocate and promote the aspirations of our associated hapu and communities within our area of interest.
Our goal is to practice and uphold our own Tino Rangatiratanga, which encompasses self-determination and sovereignty, for the benefit of our marae, whānau, hapu, and the environment that surrounds us. By working together as one, we aim to create a nurturing and supportive environment where all members can thrive and flourish. Our collective efforts will ensure that our cultural values and traditions are preserved and celebrated, fostering a strong sense of identity and belonging to our hapu and for our communities.
